Mispoes

A young cat lies in her basket. All is calm and quiet, right until… a dog barges in! Yet this dog doesn’t bark, he makes music. He toots away happily on his big trombone. The Cat is confused. What is this dog trying to tell her with his music? She doesn’t understand a word. They get to know each other, and over the opera, explore what it means to be brave and face your fears of being a scaredy-cat.
With the help of Dog and kids in the audience, Cat finds her footing, step by step.

Just as the cat feels more at ease with the dog, the children also lowered their guard for the trombone and that impressive voice. Humming, they leave the trailer. Another victory richer.

Soprano Guinadi beautifully combines singing and acting together. (…) Both she and Cancer play with obvious delight, making Mispoes a sweet, playful first encounter with opera.
