ENSEMBLE CIRCE

Ensemble CIRCE is a female a cappella ensemble of 4 -6 singers that creates interdisciplinary, site-specific and improvisatory performances. They translate the complexity and layered nature of the female experience into sound and image.

CIRCE has a home base in museum settings—a space where women are often mute muses, rather than central figures in their own stories. CIRCE reclaims the space with their voices; each with her own individual strength, and together in solidarity and harmony.

Ensemble CIRCE was first created after the members met through NKK NXT of the Netherlands Chamber Choir, in collaboration with Muziektheater Transparant.

Together, they have taken their vision to museums such as the Kröller-Müller Museum, De Pont Tilburg, Kunsthal KAdE, Uitnacht Arnhem, Museum W, and Museum Helmond, among others.
